IMPACT is hiring a rockstar Network Engineer to join our team. The Network Engineer we are looking for will have a hunger for delivering, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing technology solutions for customers. What Will I Be Doing?

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our complex network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Resolve critical network issues, maintaining the stability and security of our network services using advanced network troubleshooting.
  • Work on network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Oversee the installation of new hardware and network systems and manage the upgrading of existing systems to meet our evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and secure IT infrastructure.
  • Mentor network engineers and team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in network administration and security.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and network practices and evaluate their potential application within our organization.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

To do this job and be great at it, you must have previous experience, enjoy helping others, using and troubleshooting technology, and ultimately solve problems.


This is an in-office position. Your primary place of work will be at the company's office with some remote (work from home) availability. Please do not apply if you are not within 2 hours of the office location or not willing to relocate.


Requirements of the position include:

  • Working knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) and policy management platforms for device onboarding and privileged level access.
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco WLAN infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience with 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP and modern WLAN architectures
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a large, distributed, multi-vendor environment


  • Plan, configure and install technology and IT solutions for customers
  • Network Security and Cybersecurity design, management, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Plan, configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support:
  • Networking and server technologies like DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.
  • Network infrastructure to include routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, access points, VPN, and overall network topology, etc.
  • Cabling and network infrastructure such as racks, cabling, patch panels, UPS devices, power management, etc.
  • An in-depth knowledge of IP networking and processes is mandatory.
  • Experience including LAN and WAN technologies based on Cisco hardware and platforms
  • Experience and expertise in system architecture, planning, design, engineering, network management, operations and support of medium to large multi-services enterprise IP network which cover a regional to global geography
  • Provide Incredible Customer Service
  • Train Client Users to Enhance Technology Use and Skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills; effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner
  • Ability to use various tools to install necessary hardware
  • Ability to hold a conversation both non-technically and technically on problems, solutions, etc.
  • Follow systems and processes
  • Handle escalated, more complex technology issues and problems
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software based issues
  • Working knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) and policy management platforms for device onboarding and privileged level access.


It would be nice if you had:


  • Knowledge of Cloud hosted VoIP PBX phone systems
  • Knowledge of Windows XP to Windows 11 management, deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Knowledge of On-premise, virtual, and cloud infrastructure of hosts, hypervisors, and Windows servers in AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Cabling and network infrastructure such as racks, cabling, patch panels, UPS devices, power management, etc.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • College degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred



Certification Requirements

  • Certifications required in Cisco Meraki, CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+.
  • Obtainment of Certifications is required annually.

Compensation

  • Base Salary - Range: $60,000-$85,000
  • Bonus Pay for Quarterly Metrics
  • Commission Pay for any Management Incentives
  • Paid Training and Certifications
  • Holiday On-Call Pay
